Elife Systems Pty Ltd ACN 087 452 953 is a privately owned and funded Australian company.

It was founded in 1999 with the vision of simplifying and demystifying life insurance so that it can become a common and natural purchase. The key factor being the use of Internet or Web based technologies to help the customer deal directly with the life insurer and allow a faster, easier and cheaper purchase.

That vision has guided Elife Systems throughout its early years, which have included the following key milestones:

Nov 2000	Elife Systems completes the detailed specifications for an administration system to support personal risk life insurances using Internet technologies.
July 2001	Elife Systems contracts with Satyam Computer Services to start development of a full function, straight through processing, risk product only, Life Insurance sales and administration system.
May 2002	Elife Systems begins User Acceptance Testing of the delivered systems, using its specialist testing partner, Nu Solutions.
Dec 2002	Operational version (V1.1) of the application software completed and accepted.
July 2003	Created the virtual life company concept and specified the necessary additions to ERPIS to support rapid expansion in a multi client environment.
May 2004	Awarded a Commercialising Emerging Technology (COMET) grant
Sep 2004	Completed a prototype expert underwriting system using the Axe Group’s business rules engine, Axelerator.

In this time Elife Systems has raised sufficient capital to maintain operations, built relationships with all necessary risk and service providers, and engaged in protracted and to date ultimately unsuccessful partnership negotiations with several leading Australian financial institution.

The Life Insurance industry is now looking to web-based technologies to facilitate direct on-line business, bringing cost reductions and improvements in productivity. With tested infrastructure, key relationships in place, a distribution pipeline and a significant ‘first mover’ advantage, Elife Systems is uniquely placed to meet this need.
