As customers have the right to know the privacy policies of sites visited, elife systems is committed to data security and protects personally identifiable information. Only operational partners that have a specific need such as Reinsurance Underwriters will have access to personal customer data and only to the extent of that need. All outsourcing agreements that elife systems enters into will contain clauses limiting use of personal customer data to the specific services contracted. Unless permission to do so is expressly given to us, or unless required by law, elife systems will not wilfully use or disclose personally identifiable information. We may however share aggregated statistical information about the use of the web sites with our participating insurance companies or business partners. In this case, individual users personally identifiable information is not disclosed. elife systems will not resell, trade, lease or rent the personally identifiable information of any users to other companies. Our forms use the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. With SSL, information is encrypted as it travels between customers’ computers and our servers. elife systems uses encryption to transmit customer information to other parties, such as banks, paramedics or reinsurers. Some pages use “cookies” – one or more small text files saved on the customer computers’ hard drive and stored in memory while the browser is running. elife systems assigns a random number to each user and stores this number as a cookie on the user’s computer.
