Richard Lyon - Actuary
Richard joins elife systems from his
personal consulting practice. He has extensive industry
experience including:
• Chief Actuary, Royal & Sun Alliance Life
• Director, Connelly Temple
• Partner, Coopers & Lybrand
• Asia / Pacific Development Manager, AMP
• Various Actuarial positions at AMP.
Richard holds an MA from the University of Cambridge
and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (USA).

He brings to elife systems strong technical actuarial
skills, particularly in relation to the construction,
review or analysis of profit and capital projection
models for valuation, planning or problem solving –
e.g. embedded /appraisal valuations, business planning,
capital management and product development.
Whilst Richard’s core expertise is in life insurance,
he has had significant exposure to superannuation, investments
and general insurance. He has worked in corporate and
sales strategy, business planning, corporate development,
company valuations (life and non-life), product development,
investment policy, experience analysis, liability valuation,
capital management and actuarial audit.
